MMFA Field Dimensions & Setup Guidelines

The Manitoba Minor Football Association (MMFA) uses standardized field layouts for each age division. These dimensions ensure safe play, consistent coaching, and clear expectations for game‑day setup.

U10 – Cruncher (6v6)

Field Width: 41 yards

Field Length: 80 yards

End Zones: 10 yards each

Spectator Guidelines:

Fans must be positioned on the side furthest away from the sideline officials. No spectators are permitted on the playing field.

Field Markings & Equipment:

• Downs marker only (no yard sticks)

• Cones and soft markers for boundaries

• Hash marks included

• Goal posts padded

• Home and visitor benches on opposite sidelines

U12 – Atom (9v9)

Field Width: 41 yards

Field Length: 110 yards

End Zones: 20 yards each

Spectator Guidelines:

Fans must remain on the side opposite the sideline officials. Spectators are not allowed on the playing field.

Field Markings & Equipment:

• Cones and soft markers

• Hash marks clearly marked

• Goal posts padded

• Team benches on opposite sidelines

U14 – Pee Wee (12v12)

Field Width: 65 yards

Field Length: 110 yards

End Zones: 20 yards each

Spectator Guidelines:

Spectators must remain at least 5 yards back from the sideline at all times.

Field Markings & Equipment:

• Full‑width field

• Hash marks on both sides

• Goal posts padded

• MMFA‑designated team boxes

• Home and visitor benches on opposite sidelines

U16 – Bantam (9v9)

Field Width: 50 yards

Field Length: 110 yards

End Zones: 20 yards each

Spectator Guidelines:

Fans must be positioned on the side furthest from the sideline officials. No spectators are permitted on the playing field.

• Cones for boundary and field layout

• Hash marks

• Goal posts padded

• Team boxes marked on both sidelines
