Spring is fast approaching and that means it's almost time for Girl's Football!!  The St. Vital Mustangs were Champions in 2014 at both the Junior and Senior levels and we're all looking forward to another fantastic season!!
Registration Dates and times are as follows:
Tuesday, March 24th - 6:30 to 8:30
Thursday, March 26th - 6:30 to 8:30
Both nights will be held in the Hall at the Mustangs Clubhouse.
Registration fees are $150.00 plus our mandatory fundraiser of 3 Cash Calendars @ $20.00 each for a total of $210.00 per player.
We accept Debit, Visa, Mastercard and Cash as methods of payment.
Please also bring your Manitoba Medical card as proof of age and address.
Age Levels are as follows:
Junior Girls - born in 2003 to 2006 (ages 8-12)
Senior Girls - born in 1999 to 2002 (ages 13-16)

Sign up now for one of Manitoba’s fastest growing sports

Registration is now open for Football Manitoba’s popular Flag Football program, which is now entering its 14thseason.

This is a city wide community based program for boys and girls from ages 7 to 17. Flag is a recreational sport with the focus to learn the basic rules of football and emphasizes running, catching and throwing. Games are played once a week and conclude with a playoff format for each division.

Teams and / or players may register in-person at the Football Manitoba offices at 145 Pacific Ave. Online registrations run until March 23 and in-person registrations continue until April 2. Registration fees are $190 per athlete, which includes games, facilities, equipment, referees, insurance and administration fees.

Football Manitoba is also holding special in-person registrations at 145 Pacific Avenue on the following days:

Thursday, Feb. 19 – 4:30-9:00 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 21 – 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 25 – 4:30-9:00 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 28 – 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

Combine for U16 and U18 Athletes PDF Print E-mail

Football Manitoba will be holding a combine on Monday, Feb. 16, 2015 at 8:30 AM at the University of Winnipeg’s Rec Plex. Athletes that qualify for age eligibility of the U16 and U18 programs will participate in various activities that will test their skills just like the pros do.

The St.Vital Mustangs came away with 3 championships this weekend to go along with 2 others already won by the girls teams earlier this season. Our Bantams, PeeWees, and Atoms capped off undefeated seasons enroute to the championship wins. Details below.



2014 Bantam Champions Mustangs Black

In the Bantam final, the Mustang Black team completed an undefeated season by beating the 2-time defending champion Nomad Gold team 38-26.  The Mustangs jumped out ahead 14-0 and led 22-12 at the half. The Mustangs pulled away in the 2nd half and led 38-18 late in the 4th before giving up a late score.  Congratulations to Bantam Black on an incredible season. More details here... 








In the PeeWee final, the Mustangs faced off against a tough Eagles team and found themselves in a tight game deep into the 4th quarter. The Mustangs closed the door with one final defensive stand and the offense sealed the deal at the end to win 16-12. Congratulations to our PeeWees for a great season.  More details here...





In the Atom final, the undefeated Mustang Black team built a large halftime lead over the Greendell Falcons enroute to a 46-16 win. Congratulations go out to our 9 & 10 year old Atom Black team. More details here...


In the late game our Mustang Midget team was in a defensive battle with the Nationals and held onto a narrow 6-0 lead in the 4th quarter. Transcona scored late to go up 7-6 and on the final play of the game our Mustangs connected on a deep pass but the Nationals made the tackle 6 yards away from the endzone to secure the win. On Saturday, the Majors gave the undefeated Fort Garry Lions all they could handle but lost a tight 20-12 battle. More details here...


Congratulations to all of our Cruncher, MMFA, Midget, and Major Mustangs teams on a tremendous season of football.
